Job Summary

Under minimal supervision, responsible for driving the affinity business channel and coaching the Territorial Sales Managers.

Essential Functions

 

 

 

Drives the Affinity sales channel by:

  • Developing strategic plans, driving business development, and building relationships
  • Identify and solicit potential partners including, but, not limited to, insurance carriers, insurance aggregators, on-line quoting services, etc.
  • Develop RFPs for potential partners
  • Driving contract negotiations, on-boarding, training and servicing of these partners
  • Budgeting and management of resources
  • Preparing the annual plan for the Affinity channel
  • Meeting the annual affinity plan

Identify new methods of distribution, develop business cases and drive these to success

 

Coach Territorial Sales Managers on the “hunter’ process to ensure success.

  • Complete regular assessments of the sales team
  • Provide on time and accurate coaching
  • Assist Territorial Sales Managers in planning and assessing opportunities.

Provides continual feedback to senior management regarding any changes in market conditions.

Work with the Director of Sales to improve the overall sales organization

Assist the Director of Sales with the coaching of the staff

Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related degree.
  • At least 5-7 years of business development
  • Proven track record of driving large scale sales relationships
  • Experience in the insurance industry with homeowners and fire products or property and casualty.
  • Experience with managing all sides of insurance business(MGA) by working with other insurance partners.
  • Ability to sell several policies at one time.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Working PC skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to maintain a high level of productivity, confidentiality, and customer service
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to negotiate skillfully in difficult situations with both internal and external groups
  • Ability to easily adapt to new or different changing situations, requirements, or priorities
  • Extensive travel required
  • Strong team leadership abilities
