  • Job Summary

    A flood coordinator compiles data and performs routine clerical tasks to support the flood underwriting function. Reviews correspondence, records, and reports and provides customer care and support needed to agents, lenders, and insureds.

    Essential Functions

    • Process requests from agents, insureds, and lenders.
    • Prioritize incoming requests based on type and deadline, according to federal guidelines.
    • Process payments on new and existing policies.
    • Follow up on items and tasks to resolve open issues in a timely manner.
    • Take information, and prepare quotes for agents.
    • Compare available products and offer the best option(s) to agents on a case-by-case basis.
    • Verify information on applications, etc.
    • Learn and stay current with the rules and requirements of the National Flood Insurance Program, and be able to accurately communicate them to agents, insureds, and lenders.
    • Any other duties as necessary and required.
